The 100 Years Club
Some of our member companies have been doing business in Alaska for over 100 years and we are celebrating that achievement. Check back here monthly for a new feature of a company that has been supporting Alaska’s economy for over a century!
Alaska RailRoad
Since construction began in 1914 and the golden spike was driven in 1923, the Railroad has connected Seward, Anchorage, Fairbanks, and the communities in between—creating Alaska’s first major land transportation corridor.
Today, this state-owned railroad keeps Alaska moving with 470 miles of track, year-round passenger service, and one of the largest freight operations in the state—supporting oil & gas, mining, military, tourism, and communities statewide.
Here’s to the legacy, the workforce, and the rails that helped build Alaska. Congratulations to the Alaska Railroad on more than a century of service and for being incredible members of The Alliance!
Alaska Safety Handbook
View and download the Alaska Safety Handbook, a collective effort of Alaska’s major oil producers to standardize safety expectations and requirements in Alaska industry operations. This new version of the handbook is revised for 2026.
